Direct Offer

1. Functional Overview

The direct offer function can be used to deliver direct offers ad.

Currently, Taku supports a variety of ad formats, including: rewarded video, interstitial video, interstitial image, native, splash, and banner .

We recommend that you choose different features to place ads based on your needs:

Function Recommended usage scenarios
Cross Promotion Promote your own apps without precise display budget control. Generally, cross-promotion is used as a backup when there is no filler on third-party networks.
Direct Offer Promote direct offers ad and control the display budget of ad

 

2. Operation Instructions

2.1 Enabling direct offer permissions

(1) Contact Taku to enable direct offer permissions (currently only available to whitelisted users)

(2) To use direct offer, you need to update Taku SDK >= v5.7.92

 

2.2 Configure direct offer

The ad level rules for direct offer are as follows: Campaign > Ad Set > Creative

  • Campaign : corresponds to an Android app, iOS app, or web page
  • Ad set : Multiple ad sets can be created under one campaign. Each ad set can be placed in multiple Taku placements.
  • Creative : Each ad set can create a set of creative

 

2.3 View direct offer reports

You can view detailed direct offer data in Full Report > Direct Offer Report

 

3. Detailed steps and instructions

3.1 Configure campaigns

(1) Go to Advanced > Direct Offer to enter the configuration page

(2) You can create and manage campaigns within campaigns

(3) When adding an campaign, the campaign types supported are: Android App, iOS App, and Web Page

(4) If the campaign type you add is Android and your product group is not available on Google Play , and you are promoting your product group in mainland China, we recommend that you add the four elements of APK ads required by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

① App version : the version number of your application

② App Permissions URL : URL of the permissions document that your application needs to apply for

③ Privacy Agreement URL : The link address of the privacy agreement document of your application

④ Developer Name : Your name

(5) The display effect is as follows:

 

3.2 Configure ad set

(1) You can create and manage ad sets in Ad set

(2) When creating an ad set, you need to complete the following steps:

① Select campaign

You need to select the campaign source. Currently supported options include: existed campaign, new campaign

 

② Ad Set-Basic

Complete the following configuration in Ad set-Basic:

The configuration instructions are as follows:

eCPM settlement price Required The revenue data in the report will be calculated using the eCPM settlement price The currency of the eCPM settlement price is consistent with the account currency
Budget for impression in total Optional The limitation of the total impression for this Ad Set. It can be set by day or throughout the promotion period If you reduce the total impression budget when the ad set is serving, the control of the budget might not be accurate.Please modify it with caution.
Budget for click in total Optional The limitation of the total click for this Ad Set. It can be set by day or throughout the promotion period If you reduce the total click budget when the ad set is serving, the control of the budget might not be accurate.Please make modifications with caution.
Budget for impression per device Optional The limitation of the impression number per device for this Ad Set. Can only be set throughout the promotion period If you reduce the budget for impression per device when the ad set is serving, the control of the budget might not be accurate, so please make modifications with caution.
Budget for click per devie Optional The limitation of the click number per device for this Ad Set. Can only be set throughout the promotion period If you reduce the budget for click per device when the ad set is serving, the control of the budget might not be accurate, so please modify it with caution.

In Ad Set - Third-party Detection Link, complete the following configuration:

④ Ad Set-User Targeting

In Ad Set - User Targeting , complete the following configurations:

⑤ Creative Group Management

Ad sets support different creative types:

● Creative type = Video+Image

You need to complete the configuration of the following material content:

3.3 Ad set on Taku placement

(1) You need to add a direct offer ad source for the Taku placement that delivers direct offer in the mediation.

(2) eCPM settlement price and price description: The eCPM settlement price set when adding an ad set is independent of the price set by the mediation.

eCPM settlement price Configured in the ad set , the revenue of the report data will be calculated based on the eCPM settlement price, which is often used for settlement with direct offer advertisers
Price Configured in the ad source to determine the order of direct ad sources in WaterFall

 

3.4 Advanced Features

(1) Set the filter delivery package name

You can set a list of excluded package names for direct offer. The products corresponding to the excluded package names will no longer be promoted.

4. Description of relevant data

4.1 Rewarded Video

  • Rewarded videos support the following ad source configuration items:

4.3 Splash Ads

4.4 Banner

  • Banner supports the following ad source configuration items:

When the creative type of the ad set = Image (Banner) , please make sure that the ad source size you selected has been configured with the corresponding image in the creative of the ad set, otherwise this ad set cannot be used normally.
