Get Started with TopOn

Welcome to Taku!

This document will help you quickly use the Taku aggregation platform. You can use the Quick Access Navigation column in the table to quickly start using Taku aggregation monetization in just 8 basic steps. In addition, the Optional Steps to Maximize Profits column in the table is an advanced feature. You can make full use of the rich features of the Taku aggregation platform and select the required steps to maximize profits.

Note: Please do not use crawlers to capture developer backend report data, otherwise your account will be blocked!

1. Create a Taku account

(1) Enter the Taku official website account registration page:  https://app.takuad.com/m/register

(2) Fill in the registration information in turn

Registration Information Instructions
Name Enter account name.
Email Address Enter your email.
Password and Confirm Password Enter a password of no less than 8 characters, which must contain uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols, and confirm the password twice.
Company Enter the name of your company.
Contact Enter the company contact information.
Phone Number Enter your mobile phone number so that we can contact you in time.
WeChat Optional, enter your WeChat ID so that we can contact you in time through WeChat.
Report Currency Taku provides statistics in two currency units: [RMB] and [USD]. Please select the currency unit you need to use.
Product Type If your application is a game application, please select [Game]; if it is a non-game application, please select [Application].

(3) Check [I agree with Taku Service Agreement and Privacy Policy]

(4) After confirming that the information is correct, click [Register]

(5) Contact Taku Business Manager to activate your account

(6) Log in to Manage Publisher Backend to configure the aggregated application: https://app.takuad.com/m/dashboard

2. Add apps and Placement

(1) Click [Application]-[Add App]-[Add App] to create the app you need to monetize

 

(2) Fill in the application related information in the pop-up dialog box

Application Information Fill Instructions
System Platform Select the operating system for the app. iOS / Android
Available on App Store If your app has been launched on the App Store / App Store, select Yes; otherwise, select No.
App Store Please select the app store for launch. 
App Store Link Fill in the link address of your app in the app store. Click Search to automatically identify the app name, first-level category, second-level category, package name and icon.
App Name Fill in the name of the app.
First-level Category Select the first-level category to which the app belongs. 
If your app is a game, select [Game]; if it is not a game, select [App].
Secondary Category Select the secondary category to which the application belongs.
Bundle ID Fill in the Bundle ID of the iOS application.
Application Screen Orientation Select the application screen orientation.
Comply with US COPPA Select "Yes" to indicate that the app is intended for children under the age of 13 and complies with the relevant provisions of the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
Comply with US CCPA Select "Yes" to indicate that the application complies with the relevant provisions of the California Consumer Privacy Act and restricts the use of personal privacy data for users in this area.

 

(3) After confirming that the information is correct, click [confirm] to save the application information

(4) After successful configuration, as shown in the figure

 

3. Add Placement

(1) In the [App] section, click the application to which you want to add a placement, and then click [+ Placement] in the upper right corner of the page.

 

(2) Fill in the relevant information of the placement in the pop-up box

For the corresponding relationship between the ad types provided by Taku background and the ad types provided by the mediation network, please see: Advertising type correspondence table

Placement Information Fill in instructions
App Choose the application to add the Placement.
Placement Name Fill in the placement name.
Ad Format Taku backend supports six types of placement configurations, namely:
Native, Rewarded Video, Banner, Interstitial (Video/Image), Splash,In Stream
Status Running / Paused
Server incentive callback Incentive video ad format can set server callback incentive (default closed). After the user finishes watching the video, the Taku server will callback the incentive information to your server. Supported by Taku SDK v5.7.56 and above.
Note: To ensure the accuracy of server-side incentives, developers are advised to use the server-side incentive callback of third-party networks first. More server-side incentive callback content >>Click to view

 

(3) After confirming that the information is correct, click [Confirm] to save the placement information

(4) After successful configuration, see the figure

 

4. Add Network

(1) According to actual needs, determine the network that needs to be connected and register an network account. For reference: Overview of Taku Aggregated Platforms

(2) Add a registered network in the [Network] section of the Taku backend

 

(3) In the pop-up window, fill in the relevant information

Network Information Fill Instructions
Network Select the network you want to create in the drop-down list.
Account Name Fill in the account name.Default: default account.
Reporting API Activated / Not Activated
①Select Activated and fill in the relevant parameters. Taku can pull back the data from the mediation network through the API and present it in Taku's various reports, helping developers fully understand the monetization effect of your advertising business. In addition, after the reporting API is enabled, the networks with the word [AUTO] can use the function of automatically creating ad sources to improve the efficiency of developers in creating ad sources.
② If you choose not to enable it, it will not affect advertising monetization
Automatically create ad sources Yes / No
After selecting that the reporting API is enabled, for networks with the word [AUTO] that support the automatic creation function, you can choose whether to enable the automatic creation of ad sources for the platform.
Other parameters Fill in the various parameters required for the activation of the reporting API. You can click [How to find these parameters? ] in the lower left corner to get instructions.

 

(4) After confirming that the information is correct, click [Confirm] to save the network information.

(5) After successful configuration, it is as shown in the figure.

 

5. Add ad source

(1) On the [Mediation] page, select the corresponding app and placement, and click [+ Ad Source] in the upper left corner of the page

 

(2) Select the corresponding network in the pop-up window, fill in the relevant parameters, and add the ad source

② Instructions for filling in other information are as follows:

● If you need to use header bidding, please select [Yes], which corresponds to the bidding ad source created on the network. 
● Bidding floor price
①The bidding floor price is only effective for server-side bidding. Click the small question mark after the bidding floor price to view the supported SDK versions;
②When the network bids lower than the bidding floor price, Taku will filter this bidding result. Setting the bidding floor price will reduce the filling and revenue of the bidding ad source. Please set it with caution;
③If the bidding floor price is set in both the segment and the ad source, the bidding floor price of the ad source will be used first;
● For the networks that Taku currently supports Bidding, please refer to: Taku supports header bidding network 
Price

①Priceis only used for priority sorting during ad request and display, and does not affect ad filling.
②It is recommended that the price be consistent with the floor price set for the ad source on the ad platform, which can be used to estimate the real-time revenue and LTV of the day.
③The price of ad sources without a floor price can be set to 0.1, and Auto price can be turned on.
Bottom Ad

①After the ad source is set to bottom ad, it cannot be changed.
②The bottom ad and Waterfall implement a staggered parallel strategy to shorten the time it takes to fill ads.
③When the waterfall request is not filled, Taku will use the bottom ad to display. When the waterfall request is filled, Taku will display at the higher price of the price.
Auto price

①Prerequisite for use: You need to open the reporting API permission of the network
②After enabling, Taku will calculate the ranking price based on the average eCPM of the network in the past 7 days. When the data is too small (less than 2000 displays), Taku still uses the manually filled price for sorting

 

(3) After confirming that the filled information is correct, click [Confirm] to save the ad source information

(4) After successful configuration, as shown in the figure

 

6. Integrate Taku SDK and SDK of mediation management

(1) Download address: https://app.takuad.com/m/sdk/download

(2) Developers select the Taku SDK version and the network SDK to be connected according to their needs

Note: Since each network supports different advertising types, developers can check the required advertising style in the Advertising Style column, and the system will automatically filter out the available networks and highlight them.

As shown in the figure below, after checking the [Native] ad style, some ad platforms are grayed out, indicating that the ad platform does not currently support native ads.

 

(3) After checking the network that needs to be connected, click [Generate Access Code]

(5) Get the parameters needed for SDK integration: App Key, App ID, Placement ID ,Senario ID(Senario ID is not required, you can choose whether to configure it)

7.SDK Integration Test

This step is very important to verify whether your integration is successful. Follow the test instructions to verify whether the ads are exposed normally, and whether the impressions and clicks are successfully tracked. 8. Data Analysis and Effect Optimization

Congratulations on your successful integration of Taku SDK. You can start generating revenue! After the app is released, you can view the data effects in the report, perform data analysis, and refer to the Waterfall and optimization tips provided by Taku to start your monetization journey.
